Nate Frazer from Highland County has always enjoyed farm life. As a member of his local FFA chapter in high school, Nate knew that he would like to work in the agricultural field someday. Molly Warnock, Transition Manager at the Highland County Board of Developmental Disabilities, worked with Nate to explore the opportunities through the Pre-Employment Transition Skills (PreETS) program. Nate also participated in a Summer Youth Work Experience through OOD, where he developed necessary employment skills.
Upon completion, Nate was ready to work with his job developer at the county board. Together, they found the perfect job for Nate’s infectious personality and love for agriculture at Rural King in Hillsboro, Ohio. Nate’s job developer stated, “Nate was great to work with through the whole hiring process and has since become a great employee. He is a hard worker and that showed as he worked with each new challenge to gain entrance into the workforce.”
Nate enjoys his job and shared, “I like working hard at Rural King. It lets me use my strengths to get the job done.” He currently works as a greeter/loader and uses his amazing customer service skills each day, often having customers specifically ask for his assistance with their purchases.
