Updates Allow Single Maximum Spending Amount for Level One Waiver
The Medicaid Services System (MSS) was updated the evening of April 23 to allow for county boards of developmental disabilities to cost project Level One Waiver services that fall into the single maximum spending amount.
HUD Guidance: Criminal Records, Housing
As Fair Housing Month comes to an end, county board of developmental disabilities staff and providers who assist people with disabilities with the location of housing should review the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) 2016 guidance, “Application of Fair Housing Act Standards to the Use of Criminal Records by Providers of Housing and Real Estate-Related Transactions.”
Hardship Extension: ICF Cost Reports
The due date for all 2019 Medicaid year-end cost reports for intermediate care facilities (ICFs) was extended to April 28, 2020, due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on facility operations.
New Field Added to Medicaid Match Reports
The Medicaid Match reports now contain a field called “Is Future: Yes/No.” This flag indicates whether a person has a Medicaid span set up in the Medicaid Information Technology System (MITS) that is after the current span.
NCI In-Person Survey Cycle Canceled
In response to the evolving situation regarding COVID-19 and the shift in priorities to ensure health and safety, the National Core Indicators (NCI) team at the Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) and the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) have decided to end the 2019-2020 In-Person face-to-face survey.
