Guidance: RN Quality Assessment Reviews

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) issued guidance March 13 informing the field that all regulatory work is postponed until May 31. This notice was intended to include regulatory work performed by county board of developmental disabilities staff, including the suspension of Registered Nurse (RN) Quality Assessment reviews as required by OAC 5123:2-6-07.

If a county board of developmental disabilities, during its continued communication with providers and support services, becomes aware of a health and safety concern related to the delivery of medication administration services, the county board should first file a major unusual incident (MUI) if appropriate, and then reach out to a member of one of DODD's support teams for that county to report the concern.
