Guidance: Waiver Disenrollment
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) remains dedicated to public health and safety as the department responds to the coronavirus (COVID-19) state of emergency.
To prevent disenrollment/closure of Medicaid benefits that can occur in some circumstances with waiver disenrollment, waiver disenrollment should only be processed for the following reasons during Ohio’s state of emergency:
- Voluntary requests (verbal or written)
- Person moved out of state
- Person has died
- Person has spent more than 90 consecutive days in facility (intermediate care facility, developmental center, or nursing facility)
