Autism Spectrum Disorder
Diagnostic rates of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have continued to increase overtime. An estimated 2.3% of youths are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. High mental health co-morbidity rates and interfering symptoms of ASD have been consistently reported. This course will discuss research regarding the increasing prevalence of ASD, etiology and increased ability for early diagnosis. Recent literature surrounding behavioral and pharmacological treatment for ASD and co-morbidities will be reviewed in this one hour presentation with Dr. Kelly Blankenship.
