Experience
The Wellness Project Experience is a series of body-mind-centering, resilience-enhancing, self-care practices for supporting the nervous system. These practices are grounded in neuroscience literature. They are safe, accessible, practical, and empowering. These can be done anytime, even on-the-job, to renew your energy, calm your mind, and support your nervous system. These practices promote self-awareness so that you can reconnect to your inner wisdom and find clarity and freedom from overwhelmed states. We reconnect through mindful movements, breath practices, and meditation. Click the link below. Welcome home!

Reflect
Short talks for personal reflection, journaling, or pausing
Timeless Pocket Wisdom: Reminders of Uniqueness, Resemblance, and Kinship (01.10.23) Carrying with us two very specific written messages can help us immeasurably on the road to health and wellness.
Therapy of Thanks: Some Thoughts About the Healing Power of Gratitude (11.20.22)
Lamps, Lifeboats, and Ladders: Leading a Spiritual Life (08.25.22) This short reflection examines and explains the poet Rumi’s advice that every person should strive to be a lamp, a lifeboat, and a ladder. The essence of a spiritual life is also discussed.
Magnetic Places and Seeing the World (07.21.22) Our planet is filled with magical places that powerfully draw us to them. Some are exotic landmarks, distant and renowned; others may be local -- almost inconspicuous, easily overlooked – but every bit as magical and life-changing. A poem about one of these reveals how the power of place can shape our outlooks and attitudes.
Masks and their Cultural Roles Around the World (07.14.22) Masks, both literal and figurative, play an important role in virtually every culture. They are associated with community recreation, religious ritual, public protection, theatrical entertainments, professional safety, and all sorts of human interactions. But there are times when health and wellness require us to be brave enough to remove our masks and reveal the truth of who we are.
