Training on the new personal funds rule that applies to all providers who are providing assistance to individuals with managing their personal funds.  The training is for anyone providing assistance to individuals to manage their personal funds, including ICF staff, HCBS providers, county board personnel, and individuals. It will provide an opportunity for participants to gain a better understanding of the new rule and to whom it applies.  The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, OPRA, and OACB have partnered to present this valuable training.  Training will include a panel discussion by providers, CB staff, and Department staff. Training for Money Management Services
Pursuant to OAC 5123:2-9-20  (Pending effective date) staff delivering Money Management services must pass a department administered competency test or meet degree qualifications. 

The department's Money Management training will be offered via webinar, with competency test to follow.

-How a Money Manager can help manage personal finances and budgets

Timeline for Modified Waiver Services

Upcoming days and times of training and technical assistance for the application changes related to the proposed modified HCBS waiver adult day services.

Supporting People with Intellectual Disabilities Who Engage in Sex Offending Behaviors

On October 28, a one-day conference will feature a morning dedicated to legal aspects of being convicted of a sex offense for an individual with an Intellectual Disability.

Topics will include

-a review of current offender laws
-placement and treatment within Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections facilities 
-a discussion of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections collaboration with county boards of developmental disabilities for release planning and during probation and parole.  Learn More.

Provider Certification Webinar

Provider Certification Wizard – Application completion guidance and hints

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is offering a webinar to guide users through the process of entering applications for certification through the Provider Certification Wizard.  The webinar will answer common questions regarding the submission process and will provide helpful hints to reduce errors. Please register using the link provided. 


Rule 5123:2-2-01 (Provider Certification)
Requires independent providers and direct services staff of agency providers to complete eight hours of training in accordance with these standards established by the Department. The rule also outlines the qualifications necessary for those who will provide this eight hour training.
