IO Waivers Will Expand Available Nursing Services
Effective July 1, 2016, Individual Options (IO) waiver nursing services will be expanded.

In preparation for this change, DODD will host ten half-day trainings to share information about the IO Waiver Nursing rule, a new nursing task assessment tool and work related to projecting nursing costs. 

The target audience for the training is SSA/SSA Directors and/or Medicaid Managers who directly work with ISP development and cost projecting.

The final webinar of a three part series on abuse, join Scott Phillips of MUI for a data-driven look at causes, contributing factors and effective prevention planning for Sexual, Physical and Verbal abuse.

Funding Changes To Adult Day And Employment Services Are Coming
DODD is making changes to the way adult day and employment services are funded through the IO, Level 1, and SELF waiver in response to changes in home and community based services (HCBS) waiver funding.

 Join us April 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. for a webinar discussing the proposed HCBS changes and next steps for implementation.

Individuals, families, providers and county boards are encouraged to attend.



Rule 5123:2-2-01 (Provider Certification)
Requires independent providers and direct services staff of agency providers to complete eight hours of training in accordance with these standards established by the Department. The rule also outlines the qualifications necessary for those who will provide this eight hour training.
