Certification of Employees of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities 

County Board Certification Application

Due to statutory changes to section 5126.25 of the Ohio Revised Code, effective September 10, 2012, County Boards of Developmental Disabilities (County Boards) became responsible for issuing and taking all actions regarding Adult Services, Early Intervention, and Service and Support Administration certification for employees of county boards. DODD still is responsible for issuing Investigative Agent and Superintendent certification.  If you have questions about Investigative Agent or Superintendent certification, please call 800-617-6733.  If you have questions about Adult Services, Early Intervention, or Service and Support Administration certification, please contact your local County Board.

New standards for certification held by employees of County Boards became effective on July 4, 2013. The standards are set forth in administrative rules:
