Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR)

The federal intent of PASRR is to prevent inappropriate and/or long-term nursing facility placement of individuals with serious mental illness and/or developmental disabilities (MI/DD). DODD shall determine whether a nursing facility is the most appropriate setting for an individual based on current need for services, and whether or not Specialized Services shall be provided.
